THE BOY FROM NEW YORK CITY (as recorded by Michelle Creber)
Ooh-ah ooh-ah cool cool kitty, tell us about the boy from New York City
Ooh-ah ooh-ah c’mon Kitty, tell us about the boy from New York City
He's kinda tall, he's really fine
Someday I hope to make him mine all mine
And he's neat, and oh so sweet
And just the way he looked at me swept me off my feet
Ooo-wee, you ought to come and see
How he walks, mmh and how he talks
Ooh-ah ooh-ah cool cool kitty, tell us about the boy from New York City
He's really down, and he's no clown
He has the finest penthouse I've ever seen in town
And he's cute, in his mohair suit
And he keeps his pockets full of spending loot
Ooo-wee, I said you ought to come and see
His new guitar, I’m talkin’ bout a brand new car
Every time he says he loves me
Chills run down my spine
Every time he says he’ll miss me
Oh that makes me feel so fine
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Woah he can dance, what a great romance
And you know I fell in love with just one glance
He was shy, oh and so was I
And now I know I'll never ever say goodbye
Ooo-wee, say you ought to come and see
He's the most, from coast to coast
Oh yeah, woah yeah, I’m talkin bout that boy, the boy from New York City
Talkin bout my sweet little boy, the boy from New York City
Oh that boy is fine, I sure got ta make him mine
I’m talkin about the boy, the boy from New York City
The boy from New York City

This album is a solid 7/10. I love the old-school music in there, but some of the songs just feel like random melodies plastered everywhere. This is the beginnings of Ponies At Dawn though, and their artists have improved massively over the years so I'm glad we still have a relic from their collection! cherriesarelit
